At Oregon Style Cross Country Running Camp we bring together new and experienced runners to learn team building skills in order to assist in achieving this common goal. We stress to every individual athlete that true success is not judged by the amount of medals won but by the knowledge that one has given their maximum effort.
Coach Hayes and Coach Butt have become good friends while competing against each other over the years, and starting this camp has been one of their goals. They like to live by a quote from Teddy Roosevelt, “No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care”. Their passion and concern for all of their runners is well known.
Our mission at Oregon Style Cross Country Running Camp is to help distance runners strengthen their love for running and become the best that they can be.
We believe that a combination of hard work and a smart training plan which includes good nutrition, goal setting, injury prevention and a positive mental attitude will help each runner achieve success and have a better overall experience.
